Illinois 101
the University of Illinois I earned my bachelor's degree in computer science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1980. Ever since then I've been a big fan of the school (and not just a sports fan, but indeed a fan of everything Illini). In 2006, I moved from New Jersey to Champaign. By now, I've lived in Champaign longer as an alumnus than I did as a student on campus. This page is a tribute to my alma mater -- a list of 101 "favorite things," based on my experiences both as a student then, and as an alumnus and resident of the community now. The list is presented in no particular order, and indeed, you'll see a different random order each time you visit it. I hope you enjoy my list!
Please send me any comments or corrections. NOTE: I originally created the list in May 2010, and updated it in August 2013. The new entries are tagged with the notation "[*2013]".
